The legendary Dionne Warwick performed in South Africa for 2 shows only. The media and publicity around this two-date tour was phenomenal, as journalists swooped on Ms. Warwick at a press conference held at one of Johannesburg’s leading hotels.
The capacity audiences at both the concerts gave Ms. Warwick a standing ovation as she walked onto the stage. Her repertoire was packed with hits such as Walk on By, Heartbreaker, That’s What Friends are For, Say a Little Prayer, Alfie and some spectacular music from Brazil.
Dionne Warwick will be visiting South Africa during August 2002 to celebrate her 40th Anniversary as on of the true divas of our time.
